Coffee mug hoarder,,THE MOST FASHIONABLE ACCESSORY OF SUMMER 2021!!!! FRINGED BAG

Bimla,1008,HBC,sector 15 –A,Hisar,Haryana,India. I admit it; I am a coffee mug hoarder. I was so ashamed when I counted this morning and came up with a shocking number. F O R T Y - S E V E N. I have 47 coffee mugs in my cupboard and that does not even include that additional 15 or so fine china tea cups. Apparently, I have a weak spot. They represent places we have been, great times in my life and gifts from friends. How can I possibly give any of these keepsakes up? I simply can't. The only alternative is to find new uses and re-purpose my treasures so that they can remain in my home but, satisfy a need without cluttering my kitchen cabinets. I decided to sit down and write down any way I could think of the re-use my precious coffee mugs. Here is what I came up with: 1) Make them into decorative candles or candle holders. 2) Make mug cakes or one cup cookies. 3) Turn them into planters for herbs or cuttings. 4) Fill them with chocolate, tea bags, cookies, etc as a gift to a friend. 5) Organize my makeup. I could use them to hold chipstick, eyeliner and drawinf brushes. 6) To hold sweetener packets. 7) An oldie but a goody, hold pens and pencils on the desk. 8) Organize the craft room. They can hold pins, buttons, scissors, paintbrushes, etc. 9) Break them up and turn them the pieces into a mosaic. 10) Use as a template for art or crafting projects. 11) Organize coupons. 12) Use the low, wide cappuccino style mugs for pet bowls. 13) Separate colors while painting. 14) Organize my daughter and grand daughter’s workbench, the smaller size mugs would be perfect for screws, washers, etc. 15) Hold son’s shaving items. 16) Seedling starters. 19) Store change. 20) Store and organize jewelry. 21) Use as a ladle. 22) Tooth brush holder. 23) Hold silverware. 24) Organize ponytail ties, hair bows, bobby pins and clips. 25) Re purpose into a chandelier or lamp. (Yes, I have high aspirations on this one!) There you have it 25 alternate uses for coffee and/ or tea mugs. The sad part is, I could do all 25 and still have 22 mugs left- oh dear. Inspired by the above ideas you may inculcate more ideas? You may add your ideas other then the above ones. What have you used your old coffee mugs for? Submit for readers column. Happy recycling!!! Feng Shui in Your Home Décor,HOW TO CROCHET BASIC DOLL.

My friend Punam Saahani's husband had gone to China to study on a fellowship. Last month I went to meet her at her house and saw that the decoration of her house was completely different from her earlier deco. As soon as I entered the house, I was fascinated by the smell of rat ki rani in her living room . After inquiring about her well being, my friend told that Saahani was busy with his studies and I used to learn and teach his Chinese classmates' wives about their living styles . Here I am sharing some tips about Feng suie of China. Feng shui literally means “wind and water” in Chinese. It is an ancient Chinese system of living designed to promote the movement of “chi” (which means energy) for creating and maximizing harmony and balance in our environments. Proper feng shui allows chi to move through one’s home like a flowing river, which in turn attracts happiness, prosperity, and most importantly, health. Decorating tips used in feng shui are slightly different than the traditional decorating, but once you start using feng shui, a harmoniously decorated home is yours to enjoy! Keep Clean and Clear Feng Shui believes that rooms and hallways should be open and clutter-free. Any obstacle that obstructs you also obstructs chi (energy). If this cannot be avoided, the best solution, especially in a small room, is to hang a picture or painting of a landscape scene with a distant scene. This will help to symbolically broaden your horizons and create a feeling of expansiveness. A landscape scene that contains mountains is said to encourage you to aspire to lofty goals. If you choose to frame your painting, wood is the best choice for encouraging growth and expansion. The Essential Scents Scent is an important element of feng shui. Good feng shui practitioners always mist the entryways of their homes with a scent that creates feelings of comfort and security. This can be done by placing incense, oils or candles on a table or alter near your front door. Vanilla is a favorite aroma, as it evokes a warm and welcoming feel. During Deepawali, , try cinnamon or balsam. In the spring and summer seasons, citrus scents such as lemon or orange are best. By using aromatherapy like this, each time a visitor enters your home, he or she will feel at peace and relations in your home will improve. Consult a good book on aromatherapy for best effect, or go down to your local health food store or mall and try out different scents to see what works best for you. Chocolate Bamboo Rug The use of an area rug in your living room can strengthen the bonds among the people in your household. Be certain that all of the chairs and seats touch the rug. This helps to facilitate a connection between everyone who sits in your living room. This can also be done in your dining room. The rug will also serve as an element that ties in all the furniture pieces in your room. A round or oval rug will enhance harmony and unity in your home while a rectangular rug will stimulate growth. Try using a natural fiber rug made from bamboo, wood, or cotton, aaak, for best effect. Food for thought The dining area of our home is where we nourish ourselves and interact with family members and friends. It also has an important effect on our health, as we eat and digest our food there. There are several easy ways to improve feng shui in your dining room a few of them are: The first is to eat some of your meals with a pair of wooden spoons, as wood encourages growth and the symbolism of “two” (as in two spoons) creates good relations with another person. The second way is to use red in your dining room’s color scheme. You don’t need to make everything red, just have it in a few places. Try a vase with red flowers, a red place mat, use red bowls or plates or just a red decorative piece on a wall. Kitchen The simplest way to achieve balance in the kitchen is to create a welcoming space with a layout that flows and seating that encourages the gathering of friends and family. Cheerful colors, like yellow, are perfect for a kitchen, and decor accessories and motifs featuring healthy food promote positive energy. Living room Most living rooms are the largest space in our homes, so you’ll want to balance the room with large furniture and accessories to slow the rushing Chi. Bright colors are desirable for a living room, but if that isn’t your style, try neutral colors with fresh accent colors. Arrange furniture to encourage interaction and friendship. Bedrooms Your Feng Shui bedroom should be a relaxing retreat that provides a quiet space for rest and a space to connect with your loved one. Avoid jarring or loud artwork, accessories, and colors in the bedroom. Pink is the suggested bedroom color for positive Chi, but it’s not a color that’s universally popular. Adding a few small accessories in a muted pink color or fresh pink flowers can promote romantic energy in your bedroom. Bathroom Feng Shui in your bathroom should focus on balancing the water element. Blue and green are popular bathroom colors, along with shiny surfaces and metal, which all represent the Feng Shui Water element. Because the activities in your bathroom are primarily water-based, it’s easy to see how your bathroom’s energy gets totally out of balance. To balance the abundance of water energy, (which can soak up Chi and make it heavy,) add elements of wood and warm colors. You can also add candles to your bathroom to bring the fire element to warm it up. These were some feng sui tips I saw on my friend's home on her return from China. You can also try them and enjoy! KNITTING I Made This Big and Beautiful Bag With an Easy Trick

KNITTING IS BENEFICIAL FOR HEALTH Bimla,House No.1008,Housing Board Colony,Sector 15-A,Hisar,Haryana,India. Being an avid knitter and researcher I joined on a range of craft magazines. One of my jobs was to look after the letters pages. This entailed reading the large amount of letters which came into the office every day. About 98% of these talked about the therapeutic benefits of craft but in particular knitting. Then I asked our president of NGO Dr.K.Malhotra, who always indulge in knitting in her spare time Oh! that is my ‘light-bulb’ moment said Dr.K.Malhotra– Knitting as she told me …….. Days after my quarry.. I realised I’d stumbled across something potentially very important. I wondered whether knitting could be used as an activity from the arm chair which could act as a springboard to other activities – to motivate those people I saw on my community rounds, to bring them back into the world – that was my starting point. Therapeutic benefits of knitting As a physiotherapist specialising in neurological conditions I have been intrigued by the movements of knitting and their potential effect on the brain. The work I’ve done so far strongly suggests that the bilateral, cross midline, rhythmic repetitive, automatic nature of the movements are important. For example, a high percentage of the narratives I’ve collected attribute the feeling of deep calm to the rhythmic nature of the movements. The state of mind reached is described as meditative-like even by people who regularly meditate. We carried out a survey of over 100 knitters with NGO and we found the more frequently people knitted the calmer and happier they said they felt. 81% of respondents to our survey said they felt happier during and after knitting. 54% of respondents who were clinically depressed said knitting made them feel happy or very happy – that’s quite some achievement. How is knitting used as a tool for wellbeing? Health and wellbeing is about so much more than isolated symptoms and medication – it’s about the whole person and their environment. Therapeutic Knitting can help people address a wide range of issues to improve general wellbeing. KNITTING-EQUATION and Dr.K.Malhotra’s route into knitting. My mother taught me at seven but I didn’t do very much knitting after that – I think most women my age learned from their mothers or grandmothers. Like many new mothers I did a little knitting for my four children but then did very little after that. I picked it up again when I started researching the benefits – I needed to be reasonably proficient to run the group at our NGO, but it’s a bit like riding a bike, once learnt it doesn’t take much to get back in the flow. I use it now to manage my stress levels so I use it therapeutically. I think it’s important to practise what your preach. If you don’t do it yourself how can you expect others to follow your advice? The work you’re doing focuses on the therapeutic benefits of knitting – what type of conditions can it be used to help with? Anyone could benefit from setting aside 20 minutes every day. Being able to ‘switch off’ for a short time every day gives the mind a break and is beneficial to wellbeing. Anyone can use knitting as a portable means of stress management. Use it on your commute to work or during your lunch break if you are a working woman, and as leisure activity if you are a housewife. It has been found that taking your mind off a problem you’ve been dwelling on and doing a relaxing creative activity will often help you to solve that problem – the solution will often just ‘spring’ to mind when the mind’s attention is focused elsewhere. The main conditions that Therapeutic Knitting is used for are: Stress low mood depression mental health problems posttraumatic stress disorder. Must try it out. happy knitting!!!!
