My Daughter Vipin Choudhary's Article in 'Aajkal' Magazine: The Present of Hindi Short Story
It is a moment of immense pride and joy for me to see the June 2026 issue of 'Aajkal', a prestigious monthly magazine of literature and culture. A very important and analytical article by my daughter, Vipin Choudhary, has been published in this special issue.
In this article, centered on the theme "The Present of Hindi Short Story" (Hindi Kahani Ka Vartaman), Vipin has engaged in a dialogue with prominent storytellers across different generations. In this conversation, legendary literary figures like Pankaj Bisht, Gyanprakash Vivek, Mahesh Darpan, Yogendra Ahuja, and Alka Saraogi have shared their profound insights on the changing social reality, craft, and contemporary challenges faced by modern short stories.
Vipin has beautifully highlighted and edited how storytelling is shaping up amidst technology, market influences, and human sensibilities in these changing times. As a mother, my heart is deeply gladdened to witness her literary contribution. I am sharing the cover page of the magazine and a few glimpses of the article with all of whom.
I request all the learned readers to kindly share their thoughts on this subject. How do you perceive the evolving nature of Hindi short stories in today's era? Please do leave your valuable feedback in the comment box below after reading the article. Your perspectives are highly welcome.
XOXO
